The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Mobile Training unit was at the newly built Geauga County Library Thompson branch training Thompson Police Officer’s on the MILO training simulator. This state of the art simulator is used to train and evaluate an officers ability to make appropriate decisions during critical incidents. Officers are trained on a wide array of situations requiring responses ranging from de-escalation techniques to situations requiring tactical responses to active violent aggressors. Deputy Robin Taylor was present and provided Thompson Officers with updated training on responding to and investigating Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault offenses.
