On April 21st, 2022, Detectives from the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Investigators from the Middlefield Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 15010 South State Avenue in Middlefield Village. The search warrant was part of a two-month narcotics investigation into the Trafficking of Methamphetamine occurring in the Middlefield area.
At the conclusion of the search warrant detectives identified (2) persons of interest inside of the home, recovered approximately (38) grams of Methamphetamine, (firearms, and multiple criminal tools often associated with drug trafficking.
A target of the investigation, Everett Humphreys Jr, was arrested and transported to the Geauga County Jail. Humphreys has been formally charged with Trafficking in Drugs, a Felony of the 2nd Degree and Having Weapons Under Disability, a Felony of the 3rd Degree. Additional criminal charges are expected pending a case presentation to a Geauga County Grand Jury.
This investigation is another great example of Geauga County Law Enforcement Agencies working together in collaboration with concerned community members.
