The Middlefield branch recently coordinated a successful program where homeschooled students were encouraged to come to the library and learn all about our favorite fall fruit - the pumpkin! Kids were able to test to see if a pumpkin floats, how much one weighs on average, how large one’s circumference is, and, most fun of all, were able to dissect one to see what makes a pumpkin a pumpkin!
