Today ODNR conTAC spent the day in the beautiful Zaleski State Forest learning about mineral production history in Ohio and reclamation work being done to old, abandoned mine lands. We traveled to see a Lime Doser in action as it helps clean our streams and rivers. Lastly, we viewed some areas that were surface mined and saw bat gates that were installed at abandoned mines.
