State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur recently hosted members of LEADERship Ashtabula County at the Statehouse in Columbus. The organization aims to familiarize and engage individuals with civic activities impacting county residents.
“Members of the LEADERship Ashtabula County program are our local business owners and community members who want to enhance their leadership skills and engage more with local issues and resources,” stated Fowler Arthur. She expressed her satisfaction in having the group visit Columbus, providing them with insights on how state leaders can serve as valuable resources for their community.
Kelli Jones, Executive Director of LEADERship, noted that this was the first visit to Columbus since 2019. “We felt so welcomed and our group learned so much about what is happening at the state level,” she said. Jones also highlighted the importance of creating new connections during their visit and expressed enthusiasm for future engagements.
LEADERship Ashtabula County has been fostering local leadership development since 1989. Further information about their initiatives can be found on their website.
