Chardon Local Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 17.
The welcome, albeit brief, break in winter weather this week saw temperatures drastically rise from the frigid teens on Monday to an unseasonably warm 50+ degrees Fahrenheit by Wednesday, February 16. The district's Transportation and Maintenance departments jumped at this opportunity to do an in-depth cleaning of the district's automotive fleet exteriors than can otherwise be provided when temperatures are well below freezing.
The salt and grime of Northeast Ohio winters can take a toll on the buses, trucks and vans, and the district appreciates the outdoor time invested by staff this week in providing the much-needed automotive TLC.
Thank you to both departments for all they do year-round to help keep the wheels going 'round and 'round for Chardon Schools.
