Happy Spring, park friends! Chief Naturalist John Kolar wanted us to pass on the word: if you're looking to get outside this first week of spring, it's about to get NOISY in a wetland near you! Rain and warmth in the forecast starting Wednesday evening means lots of amphibians will be moving to vernal pools. Some also moved last week, but got quieted down by this weekend's weather. All that is to say, John recommends a walk later this week along wetland trails  to hear the wood frog chorus (or get on the Amphibian Awakening Text/Email Alert list at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org under Programs & Events and ready for that call to join us on a more guided experience when conditions are right).
