WASHINGTON, DC – On September 29, the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) House Appropriations Homeland Security bill, authored by Subcommittee Chairman Dave Joyce (OH-14), passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

“One of the most pressing challenges this country faces is the border security crisis that has raged under the Biden Administration,” said Congressman Joyce, Chairman of the House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee. “The funding in this bill to build the wall, increase the number of Border Patrol agents, and bolster border technology, forces the Biden Administration to finally address the border security crisis. Thank you to Chairwoman Granger and my colleagues in the House for supporting this important legislation.”

“The FY24 Homeland Security bill continues our efforts to address the ongoing border crisis with targeted funding and policy restrictions that complement H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act. This bill increases the number of Border Patrol Agents to its highest level ever, provides millions for border security technology, and forces the Administration to build the wall.
