3.1% of Geauga County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Geauga County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,565 people out of the 95,408 living in Geauga County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Geauga County has increased compared to the 2.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Geauga County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 48,419 people who had a job during that time, 40 were employed in the Armed Forces and 48,379 belonged to the civilian labor force.
