Mallard nesting tubes are back up at Frohring Meadows! | PIXNIO
With the cold nights and warmer days, sap's moving at Swine Creek Reservation, so staff tapped the trees on Monday (Feb. 13) and boiled for the first time on Valentine's Day. Clearly the trees were happy, the sap was flowing, and naturalists were happy to help collect! This is the second year for Swine Creek's new vacuum system, which makes the whole operation a lot more efficient so that the construction crew can spend less time gathering in the sugarbush.
