Geneva Police Department has placed a speed display sign

City of Geneva issued the following announcement on Feb 25.

The Geneva Police Department has placed a speed display sign (pictured below) at 7 different locations, throughout the city, that has often had complaints of high speeds. This sign has captured the speeds of over 80,000 vehicles.

The sign has recorded the following information:

Location: Roosevelt Drive

Target Area Speed Limit: 25

Average Speed: 15.87

Location: Austin Road/North Avenue

Target Area Speed Limit: 25 mph

Average Speed: 23.82

Location: Sherman Street/Junior High School

Target Area Speed Limit: 25

Average Speed: 16.38

Location: South Ridge East/Senior High School

Target Area Speed Limit: 45

Average Speed: 31.85

Location: Eastwood Street/Beach Street

Target Area Speed Limit: 25

Average Speed: 17.82

Location: East Main Street/US Bank

Target Area Speed Limit: 35

Average Speed: 25.33

Location: Walnut Street/Behm Funeral Home

Target Area Speed Limit: 25
